The features of the new model include a compact and highly flexible measurement head, measurement control and data collection via WINDOWS XP, and surface analysis using an XY table (optional). While surface potential measurements alone are not very sensitive to changes in the very top layer of the surface, by applying charge through corona discharge and measuring the surface potential before and after, it is possible to sensitively measure surface cleanliness in relation to the exposure of newly formed metal surfaces, the growth of oxide layers, contamination layers, and adsorption layers.
